BoltinghouseJoAnnie2006.jpg (32875 bytes)This book, and future books in the series, is the realization of a dream.  I have always been a strong advocate for building self-esteem in children.  I have seen so many adults not reach their potential because of low self-esteem that was developed as a child.  This series of books has seemed to “take on a life of its own” and appeals to adults as well as children. 

As a former elementary teacher and corporate trainer of adults I find that people do not always listen to what we say...but will "listen to a dog!"  In my research for this series I have interviewed many children ages four to twelve.  I wanted to see what issues they are dealing with and concerns they have in developing self-confidence and a strong feeling of positive self-esteem.

I have also interviewed parents and grandparents of these same age groups.

It's back to school time!  Let's get ready to have a "Super" year!  There is nothing more important than a strong self-esteem for success in school.  Parents, get involved...get to know their teachers.  Ask what goes on in school and really listen to their answers.  Read with them and to them.  Praise their success and correct mistakes.  Make living a positive life fun!
